Desire for movement and dance

I always loved to dance and move. Growing up in the former eastern part of Berlin I wanted to become a dancer as a child. However, my passion was thwarted by the rigor of my former dance teacher. But I was still interested in movement. I practiced various forms of yoga and have intensively studied movement and meditation and the aspects of a healthy life. Today I am a teacher and work with children. I see the passion of children to move and to physically express themselves to the music. I recognize how important our body is as a medium of expression for us humans. Through Essence of Bellydance, I was able to re-experience my body, express myself as a dancer, and through the integration of the pelvic floor I gained a good stability in the body. Transformative Experience

Eva passionately danced all her life in addition to Asian martial arts, meditation and horse riding. She is a full-time film director. Focussing on a belly dancer as part of a film inspired her interest in belly dance. She instantly fell in love with the sensual movements and the amazing physical feeling. Solli loves dancing to middle eastern and Latin American rhythms and losing herself in the music. At the age of 15 she moved to Ecuador where she discovered her passion for the Latin sensuousness. Feeling for yourself

As a child Jasmin Sunita enjoyed dancing, but at the age of 11 she had a bicycle accident, where she lost two of her front teeth in the upper jaw. This caused her to lose her self-esteem. She withdrew from social contacts and gained more physical problems over the time. Early 2015 she found Coco's Sensuous Dance Workout and rediscovered her passion for dance and movement. After enjoying the Teacher Training as a test student in 2016, she signed up for the next Teacher Training and got her certification 2017. Jasmin is also a dental assistant and a student at Bremen university.

I love how we focus on the pelvic floor in Essence of Bellydance. The conscious feeling of the pelvic floor and its connection with every movement gives me a grounded feeling and a sense of security within my body. The structured diversity of movements helps me to find my body blockades easier and to release them little by little.

Biggi has been dancing since her early childhood. She has gathered experience in various dance styles: ballet, video clip dancing, hip hop, break dance, jazz and modern dance, ballroom dances, charleston, Irish and American tap dance. During her studies in Potsdam in 2014, she discovered Bellydance. She became so passionate about it, that she decided to make it her profession back in her home town Aachen. I was an enthusiastic banker in Stuttgart when I got in touch with dance. This connection of body, mind and music made me experience a new kind of bliss. I felt connected and rooted in myself. The Joy of Dancing

I loved music and dance since I was a child. I was moving my body to the beat and always wanted to join real dance classes with a teacher. Unfortunately there was no such possibility in the country side of northern Poland where I grew up. When I moved to Denmark I took a course in jazz dance. I was looking for something to express myself and gain self esteem. That's when belly dance came to me. I've read an article in a Polish holistic magazine "Wróżka" about belly dancing. How it changes life, brings freedom and joy. That was exactly something what I was looking for, so I found a class in Copenhagen. I went there for about 2 years and loved it until I had to stop because of my job. As I looked for online classes I found Coco and decided that I want to take the Essence of Bellydance teacher training and spread the joy of dancing. I'm a certified Essence of Bellydance Teacher since 2018.

Dancing and moving our bodies is so natural and organic. I admire the freedom of self-expression in belly dancing and love to see other woman smiles and satisfied happy faces while we dance together.

When I was a kid, I saw an old film where a woman was belly dancing and I was so fascinated of this mystery and beauty. I am dancing since I can remember. At the age of 13, as a shy and introverted girl, belly dancing was my life savior and I started discovering how powerful is to move my body when hard emotions arise. Since then, I have become a professional dancer and have explored Contemporary Dance, Traditional African Dances, Tribal-Fussion, Dance-Theater, Hula Hoop, Art Therapy and more. Being your self

Lilly Violet is a fusion belly dancer, yoga practitioner and alternative model. She started doing yoga at Madison Area Tech College and immediately felt a strong connection to the yogi lifestyle. Soon afterwards she started belly dancing with Ayperi Genneyya and realized that this was her true calling so she set out to learn as much as she could. On her trip to Germany 2014 she discovered Coco Berlin and The Essence of Bellydance method. In 2016 she completed Zoe Jakes Key of Diamonds intensive in Milwaukee Wisconsin. 2017 she returned to Germany to study with Coco and became a certified Essence of Bellydance Instructor.

Essence taught me to be comfortable in my own body. I saw that I can be vulnerable and just me in my own skin. Now I am sharing this with others.

Fall in love with your femininity

Solli loves dancing to middle eastern and Latin American rhythms and losing herself in the music. At the age of 15 she moved to Ecuador where she discovered her passion for the Latin sensuousness. She brought it back when she moved to Germany in 2014 where she started to take classes with Coco. In 2017 she became a certified Essence of Bellydance Teacher. At the moment she teaches Bellydance courses at the Medical University Brandenburg. After her graduation in Psychology she plans to focus on bodywork therapy and connect it with Bellydance.

Daphné Curepipe Mauritius

Connecting to yourself

Daphné is half Mauritian, half Spanish. She has been living in multicultural Mauritius, for 18 years where she had the chance to discover the richness of each culture through their music, dances and rituals. Daphné began dancing at a very young age. She started with ballet and quickly tried various dance styles such as jazz, belly dance, salsa, hip-hop, pole dancing and african dance. In each and every dance, she discovered a new part of herself. Since 2015, Daphné dove deeper into bellydancing. Through Essence of Bellydance she learned to feel her body and the movements in a completely different way, which allowed her to feel more connected with herself from the inside. In 2018 she became a certified Essence of Bellydance teacher. She is now looking forward to share this wonderful method in Mauritius and to continue her training in Dance and Movement Therapy.

In her youth Daya began her education in belly dance with international stars. In addition to her Pedadgogy and Theatre Education studies she completed a further education in Therapeutic Dance (DGT). She loves to explore Contemporary Dance, Ballet, Yoga, Meditation and Bodywork. Since 2010 she inspires her audience through experimental and classical dance performances. Sofiya is a professional dancer and since 2019 a certified Essence of Bellydance teacher. In the center of her work is emotion, she applies it in her teaching as well as performing. In her classes, she always takes care of her students, she makes sure they feel good, explore their bodies, and energize their minds. She creates a safe space, where everyone is welcome to be themselves. Apart of Bellydance, she trained for several years ballet, contemporary, tribal fusion and improvisation. As a child Wiebke danced international folk dances and jazz dance. At the age of 16 she started with belly dancing and other dance styles. Through her pregnancies her interest in body work and dance has reawakened. 2012 she graduated as a dance educator for modern and creative dance at the Freies Musikzentrum in Munich and has built her own dance groups. Numerous further trainings followed with emphasis on in pre- and postnatal workouts and dance. Since 2017 Wiebke is a certified Essence of Bellydance teacher. Interview Wiebke
